A recent TNS Gallup poll, conducted on behalf of Digitalradio Norway, shows that 61% of listeners said they daily hear radio via digital radio equipment. The figures apply to Q1 of 2016 and show an increase of 4 percentage points from Q1 of 2015 (57%).The figures apply to all digital listening, including those listening on DAB / DAB +, internet radio, mobile internet and digital TV, reportsradionytt.no.

TNS Gallup writes in a note that the sharp rise can partly be attributed to a more detailed review of all types of appliances, as well as an increase in the number of households (in the survey, assumedly). There are 4.6 million FM radios in Norwegian homes, compared with 2.1 million DAB radios; and, estimates show 2.7 million analog car radios, and roughly 700,000 vehicles with DAB radios.
